UV Imaging Annual Symposium Launched

Wednesday, 6th April 2011

With the drive to reduce the timescales and cost of developing drug molecules through to a finished dosage form, a detailed understanding of the important physico-chemical properties of the molecule needs to be determined early in development. This can now be realised with the recently introduced two dimensional, orthogonal, UV imaging laminar flow-through device, the SDI300, which offers incredibly rich data. By relocating measurements to the solid-liquid interface using media at physiological flow rates across a few mg of sample, the SDI300 opens tremendous new insights. Exciting new areas related to GI modelling and bioavailability also become available for research. This symposium will highlight the applications and benefits of UV imaging for flow through dissolution.
